LEPL Maritime Transport Agency of the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development, in collaboration with the Public Service Development Agency, has launched a new service to provide sailors with a convenient and efficient way to receive information regarding the status of their applications on competences, qualifications, certificates and other relevant documents by SMS. The aim of this service is to enhance the overall experience of sailors. The introduction of this service will allow sailors to save time and money. Sailors no longer need to call, visit or queue at the Maritime Transport Agency in order to obtain the information they require. Sailors will receive an SMS message from the address MTA.GOV.GE, in the event of a positive decision regarding competence/qualification/other certificates:
To be admitted to a test/interview
To be renewed without examination
To be admitted to a test
To be admitted to an interview
GMDSS certificate to be issued
The relevant certificate to be issued
