At the initiative of the Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Justice -Tea Tsulukiani, a groundbreaking paid employment program in the public sector has been launched for convicted individuals. Within the framework of the mentioned project, 10 prisoners from Gldani Penitentiary Establishment N8 have become employees of the Public Service Development Agency, receiving a regular monthly salary.

As part of the comprehensive digitalization process, prisoners will only scan records of civil status acts of death. Prior to beginning their duties, they completed a specialized training course. This initiative aims to facilitate their integration and successful re-entry into society in the future.

For information, the Public Service Development Agency has been implementing a project to digitize civil status records (on birth, marriage, divorce, death and other entries) since 2014, involving probationers and individuals sentenced to socially useful labour. Within the framework of this project, at least 1 000 000 records have been included to an electronic database and hard copies of these records have been scanned and converted into electronic formats.

The Public Service Development Agency is one of the organizations that, at the initiative of Minister of Justice Tea Tsulukiani, have successfully provided employment opportunities for beneficiaries of the National Agency for Enforcement of Non-custodial Sentences and Probation, as well as individuals sentenced to socially useful labour.
