Information meetings were held in ten regions as part of a “Door-to-Door” campaign

Representatives from the Public Service Development Agency of the Ministry of Justice and the UNHCR have held informational meetings with heads of municipalities, self-government and administrative bodies, as well as representatives from local NGOs working on the issue within the framework of a “Door-to-Door” campaign.  Their involvement is crucial for identifying eligible beneficiaries with the aim of preventing cases of statelessness in the country. The purpose of this campaign is to identify stateless/undocumented persons and promote the full enjoyment of their rights.

At the initiative of the Minister of Justice beneficiaries, identified through the campaign will receive identity documents at no cost. Mobile teams from the Public Service Development Agency are responsible for identifying stateless persons, determining citizenship status and providing them with documents in various regions.

The “Door-to-Door” campaign, supported by UNHCR, is being carried out throughout the country.
