The Public Service Development Agency is the sole institution in the region that has been certified in accordance with the standards of European regulations

The Public Service Development Agency of the Ministry of Justice has successfully undergone conformity certification and its operations now comply with the eIDAS regulations and standards of the European Telecommunications Standards Institute (ETSI). It is noteworthy that at present, the Agency is the sole institution in the region to have been certified in accordance with the requirements of European regulations.

After successfully completing an international audit to verify compliance with eIDAS regulations and ETSI standards, the Agency has met the necessary criteria to become a qualified trust service provider. This confirms that the services offered by the Agency fully comply with EU legislation requirements. The audit was conducted by a third-party conformity assessment body, accredited by the European Commission – QSCert.

The eIDAS regulation sets out the rules for the use of electronic identification, trust services and qualified trust services that are mandatory for EU member States. The Agency’s efforts to ensure the certification and compliance of Georgian legislation with eIDAS regulations are a significant step forward for the country in its journey towards European integration. Compliance with EU standards lays foundation for Georgian companies to expand their operations in the EU market, ensuring the flexibility of economic processes and reducing costs.
