Starting from September 1, 2023, immigrant workers will need to provide, along with other documents, a unique code to the Public Service Development Agency in order to apply for a work residence permit in Georgia. This code will be provided to the interested person as a result of their registration in the special electronic system of the Ministry of Internally Displaced Persons from the Occupied Territories, Labour, Health and Social Affairs.
A work residence permit is issued to a foreign national engaged in entrepreneurial activities in Georgia or to an immigrant worker registered with the Ministry of Internally Displaced Persons from the Occupied Territories, Labour, Health and Social Affairs in accordance with the procedures established by the legislation of Georgia.
