The procedure for issuance of duplicates of civil registration certificates
• Duplicates of civil registration certificates are issued to persons whose civil records are registered;
• Birth certificate is also issued to parents, adoptive parents, custodians, guardians, custody and guardianship bodies;
• Death certificate may be issued to any person;
• Civil registration certificate may be issued to another person, based on a notarized power of attorney.
Documents to be submitted for issuance of duplicates of civil registration certificate:
• Written application;
• Applicant’s identity document.
To obtain a civil registration certificate, a person may apply to any territorial office of the Public Service Development Agency, a branch of the Public Service Hall or enjoy an online service of the Agency.
Terms and fees of service
On the 5th working day – GEL 5;
On the 3rd working day – GEL 15;
On the 2nd working day – GEL 30;
On the same day – GEL 50.
Certificate of no impediment to marriage
Certificate of no impediment to marriageis issued to citizens of Georgia, as well as to persons having the status of stateless person in Georgia who wish to marry abroad.
Documents to be submitted to obtain the certificate:
• Identity document;
• Document confirming termination of previous marriage (if the person was previously married).
In order to obtain a certificate of no impediment to marriage, a person may apply to the territorial office of the Public Service Development Agency, a branch of the Public Service Hall or enjoy an online service.
Terms and fees of service
On the 5th working day – GEL 40;
On the 2nd working day – GEL 65;
On the same day – GEL 95.
