The process of issuance of ICAO type documents compliant with the International Maritime Organization (IMO) standards and electronic workflow management software was initiated by the Public Service Development Agency for the LEPL – Maritime Transport Agency of the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development.
Seafarers’ database, records management software and a system for printing 6 types of maritime documents protected against forgery and compliant with the international standards were developed within the project. As a result, Georgian seafarers are able to work on EU-flagged vessels.
