In accordance with the Law of Georgia “On Electronic Documents and Electronic Trust services”, the Public Service Development Agency this year successfully underwent an audit by a globally recognized audit firm and was identified as a qualified and trust service provider in the country. In providing this service, the Agency operates in compliance with national legislation as well as the regulations of the European Parliament and Council of Europe.
Since 2018, the Public Service Development Agency has been providing trust and qualified electronic services to government agencies, citizens and businesses. These services have significantly contributed to the development of e-governance in the country by introducing qualified electronic stamps and signatures. These tools ensure the high standards of document security, allowing applicants to save time and effort by signing documents or entering into contracts from anywhere in the world through electronic means.
Additional information – in accordance with applicable legislation, if a natural person or a legal entity of private law chooses to use electronic communication when contacting a governmental agency and the submitted document requires a signature, it is necessary to use a qualified electronic signature for the electronic document. A qualified electronic signature reliably confirms the identity of the signer and protects the signed document against tampering – it is not possible to make any unauthorized changes to the document.
Qualified electronic signatures can only be made on the basis of qualified certificates issued by a qualified trust service provider, such as the Public Service Development Agency.
It is also essential that citizens and organizations can download a document, certified by a trust electronic service, from the portal (www.sda.gov.ge), from the comfort of their homes, and also submit the same document electronically to the recipient, without the need for additional verification.
