The Public Service Development Agency of the Ministry of Justice participated in the Vienna Migration Conference (VMC 2023), which is one of the most prominent forums in Europe. The conference was organized by the International Centre for Migration Policy Development (ICMPD) in Vienna, Austria.

VMC is one of the most significant annual international conferences in Europe, where issues related to migration management, the latest challenges and best practices are discussed in an interactive format.

This year’s conference was attended by high-ranking representatives from the public sector and international organizations, as well as experts and practitioners from around the world. Among those attending the event were the Chairperson of the Public Service Development Agency – Ketevan Betlemidze and a representative from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.  The Public Service Development Agency has cooperated with the Center for International Migration Policy Development for a long time and successfully. The main focus of this cooperation is on implementing the action plan aimed at liberalizing the visa regime with the European Union and achieving its long-term objectives. This includes supporting activities that are being carried out in this area, which is an important component of European integration. It should be noted that Georgia also actively participates in the Prague and Budapest regional processes coordinated by CDIMP and supported by the EU.
