An electronic identity (residence) card is issued at a 50% reduced rate for citizens who have the status of severely or significantly disabled persons, established for life.
One of the key priorities of the Public Service Development Agency of the Ministry of Justice is to simplify public services for individuals with disabilities.
An electronic identity (residence) card is issued under preferential terms for a person with a severe or significant disability, provided that upon receiving the electronic identity (residence) card, the citizen provides an appropriate document as determined by law. This document must prove that at the time of application, the citizen has a severe or significant disability status that is permanently established. In this instance, the fee for the electronic identity (residence) card will be 30 Lari, rather than the standard rate of 60 Lari. Based on the amendments to the Decree of the Government of Georgia №508 dated December 29, 2011, which took effect on November 1, 2022, persons with disabilities are now able to obtain an electronic identity (residence) card at reduced rates.
