Representatives from the Public Service Development Agency of the Ministry of Justice and the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), held a media seminar for representatives of regional media on the identification of stateless and undocumented individuals as part of a “Door-to-Door” campaign.
The aim of the media seminar is to increase awareness of the “Door-to-Door” campaign. The initiative aims to identify stateless and undocumented individuals and promote the full realization of their human rights. It is being implemented in collaboration with the UN High Commissioner for Refugees.
The seminar was attended by representatives from various media outlets from 10 different regions of Georgia.
Although the number of stateless/undocumented individuals in Georgia is relatively small, it remains important for the state that every person has an identity document and their rights are fully realized.
