The goal of the project was to support the introduction of the Regulation 2014/910/EU on electronic identification (eID) and trusted services for electronic transactions on the internal market (eIDAS) in and outside Europe. To this end, Open source software components were designed in the Agency simplifying the practical application of the electronic identification and electronic signature technologies and facilitating the global compatibility of the trustworthy and legally valid electronic services.
