The ODIHR/OSCE has reviewed information on the databases of potential voters

The Chairperson of the Public Service Development Agency – Zurab Sanikidze presented information on the database of potential voters that was provided to the Central Electoral Commission (CEC) to the OSCE/ODIHR Observance Mission.

On September 15 of this year, LEPL Public Service Development Agency of the Ministry of Justice transferred a database of potential voters to the CEC based on the electronic database. This list of potential voters, provided by the Agency to the CEC, contains 3 540 609 individuals.

It should be noted that on September 17 of this year, the OSCE/ODIHR Observation Mission published an interim report regarding the local self-government elections scheduled for October 2. The report once again positively evaluates the activities conducted by LEPL Public Service Development Agency of the Ministry of Justice in order to improve the voters’ database, as was done in previous years.

According to the report, through the efforts of the Public Service Development Agency, the accuracy of the voters’ database has been enhanced by proactively eliminating duplicate and outdated information from the system, providing citizens with free identification documents and conducting visits to citizens’ residences to collect and update photo and biometric information.
